Burnside Family Practice uses social media to share general practice information and community updates. Social media is public and is not a private or reliable channel for healthcare.
We do not provide medical advice, manage appointments, issue prescriptions or referrals, discuss results, or confirm whether someone is a patient through comments or direct messages. Please telephone the practice. Call 000 for a medical emergency.
Please do not post personal health information about yourself or another person. To protect confidentiality, the practice will not discuss individual care publicly. Patient images, stories or identifiable information will only be published with appropriate consent.
We welcome respectful participation. We may hide or remove content that is threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, unlawful, misleading, commercial, repetitive, offensive, or that breaches privacy or intellectual-property rights. Accounts may be blocked where necessary to protect patients, staff or the community.
Independent reviews are controlled by the platform on which they appear. The practice does not use or republish patient testimonials in advertising where doing so would breach the National Law or Ahpra advertising requirements. A response to a review will not confirm that the reviewer is a patient or disclose information about their care.
